A Whole Day Has Gone By
A whole evening has gone by
and we’ve found more ways to
put food inside of us.
I thought we were running
out of room but the miracle
of vacation stomachs is here.
Addie’s ankle may or may not
be injured and we’re hoping she
doesn’t have to be airlifted to Miami.
All of our previous cruise injury
experience involves someone being
airlifted to Miami.
We went to a children’s disco where
they didn’t play any disco, and
one child perpetually screamed.
Tomorrow night is the adult disco
which should be exactly as it sounds.
My groove thing is prepared to shake.
But not before a day in Akita, where
they invented that particular dog and
the sake is older than America.
A Day At Sea
We sleep in because
a day at sea does not
require any specific time.
Our breakfast staff
is waiting for us, even
at this late hour.
Hours will pass until
our appointment with
the glasses of wine.
After which the afternoon
will be spent telling you things
only the wine knows.
Back in America
they are dismantling America.
Only a few more days
of these indulgences
before I go back home
and see what I can do.
